Today was Harmony Day. We had to go into school in our national costume or wear the colour orange. First we went to an assembly and there were lots of flags as the background in the hall and this year I knew what most of them were because of my Feedjit and flag posts. Miss Lee, our Korean teacher, had a boy and girl dressed up in the traditional Korean wedding clothes. I thought they were really pretty. When I was three I was a flower girl when my Uncle Gavin married Aunty Hyun but she just wore a normal wedding dress. We made some origami then had a special morning tea and then Eliza’s mum talked about Russia. After lunch we made kites with our year 1 buddy class. My sister also learnt a German song. Harmony Day was lots of fun.
